Question
Contraception

Answer

During the initial consultation the doctor will discuss with you your plans for future contraception. You might have already decided on the type of contraception with your own doctor. If you have already have a script for the contraceptive pill then bring it along and we can show you when to start. Usually you will start the pill on the day after the operation.
We are also able to assist with IUDs, Implanon and Depo Provera at the time of the operation if requested. You will have to bring your contraceptive choice with you as prescribed by your family doctor. Alternatively, this can be discussed with our doctor and organised prior to the day of your procedure.
We also have a women's health service for non-pregnant women who would like to discuss contraception, STD checks and pap smears.
