GENETIC COUNSELLING

Genetic counselling services aim to assist people to make informed choices about genetic issues. They provide a range of services to people who are pregnant or planning a pregnancy including;

1. Counselling about risk of genetic conditions
2. Prenatal diagnosis for various genetic disorders
3. Counselling regarding genetic issues of infertility and IVF
4. Counselling regarding exposure to drugs, chemicals or other substance at the time of the pregnancy.
5. Further diagnosis & counselling when a birth defect is detected during pregnancy.
